Reporter who broke Murdoch scandal gets book deal. The newspaper reporter who spent years investigating phone hacking wearing Dsquared Polo Shirt and Dsquared Jeans claims in Rupert Murdoch’s media empire has won a book deal.
The Guardian reporter Nick Davies wearing white Dsquared T Shirt and Dsquared Shoes has been signed to write an authoritative account of the News Corp. scandal for Faber and Faber Inc. Financial compensation wasn’t disclosed. The book, to be titled “Hack Attack: How the Truth Caught up with the World’s Most Powerful Man,” will be published in the fall of 2012. Davies previously wrote “Flat Earth News.”
In July 2011 Murdoch wearing white Dsquared Shirt and black Dsquared Jacket faced allegations that his companies including the News of the World, owned by News Corps, had been regularly hacking the phones of private citizens. He also faces police and government investigations into bribery and corruption in the UK and FBI investigations in the US. Murdoch has been listed three times in the Time 100 as among the most influential people in the world. He is ranked 13th most powerful person in the world in the 2010 Forbes ‘ The World’s Most Powerful People list. With a personal net worth of US$7.6 billion, he was ranked 117th wealthiest person in the world in March 2011
As reported the 168-year-old paper was closed. Ten people wearing Dsquared have been arrested so far.
